About 42 Canada
For years, our founder Laurie Cook has worked in community development, the slow, steady, often unseen work of helping people and places thrive. She has seen how much good gets done, and how easily the people doing it run on empty.
She also grew up at camp, where the outdoors, the fire, and good company were a real source of rest and inspiration. That balance, work and wellbeing, effort and joy, is the heart of 42.
So we built 42 to bring it all together in one place. Somewhere the work, and the people behind it, could be supported, connected, and reminded that a better world really is on its way.
